Noibat

Okay, so Noibat may look more like a tiny bat than a dragon, but trust me, it's a Dragon-type...well, a Flying- and Dragon-type, anyway. I chose Noibat for Dragon of the Week, not only because it evolves into the powerful and awesome Noivern (below), but isn't Noibat adorable? The cutest bat and dragon hybrid I've ever seen! (Not that I've seen that many, mind you). It's evolved form, Noivern, is actually based off a bat and a wyvern, a mythical creature that's very closely related to a dragon. In fact, if a wyvern isn't a type or subspecies of dragon, I'd say they were very close cousins. Anyway, you get the point. I have some pretty darn good reasons for making Noibat the "Dragon of the Week."

Hookfang (Monstrous Nightmare)

Species: Monstrous Nightmare
Class: Stoker
Fire Type: Kerosene gel
Hidden Abilities: If cornered, the Monstrous Nightmare will coat itself with fire from nose to tail.
About: Hookfang and Snotlout have a...complicated relationship. Whereas most dragons obey their riders' commands, Hookfang often enjoys doing the opposite of what Snotlout says. However, despite their occasional disagreements, Snotlout and Hookfang are both warriors at heart and work very well together in combat or competition with the other dragon riders. Incendiary in temperament and short on patience, Hookfang would rather ignite first and think second.

Stormfly (Deadly Nadder)

Species: Deadly Nadder
Class: Sharp
Fire Type: Magnesium
Hidden Abilities: Deadly Nadders can suddenly raise the hundreds of sharp spines that stud their hides and tails and fling them with incredible accuracy. But when the shooting starts, there is no safer place to be than face-to-face with a Nadder (If you stand right in front of its nose, a Nadder won't be able to see you. Don't sneeze!).

About:

Although she preens and grooms herself like the most fastidious of birds, Stormfly actually possesses a playful spirit. Whether it's winning dragon races with Astrid or fetching shiny objects, Stormfly is as game for a fun time as she is deadly in battle!

Charizard

Charizard is my pick for "Dragon of the Week," because he is by far, the most popular Pokemon in my opinion. It may be just a Fire- and Flying-type, but Charizard is all-around awesome, and it definitely won the hearts of many Pokemon fans in Generation 1 as a cute, little Charmander. Seeing as how Charmander was Gen. 1's Fire-type starter, and resembled a fire lizard, it came to no surprise that he would eventually evolve in a fire-breathing dragon. On top of that, Charizard has not just one Mega Evolution, but two! Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y:

And before you say that Charizard cannot be classified as a dragon because he is technically not a Dragon-type Pokemon...

Now he IS!

Toothless (Night Fury)

Toothless

Species: Night Fury
Class: Strike
Fire Type: Acetylene/Oxygen Shaped Charges
Hidden Abilities: Toothless also possesses an echolocation sense not unlike radar or sonar. When flying through dark or cramped environments, Toothless issues a plasma blast in all directions. When the plasma bounces off the nearby terrain and returns to Toothless, it gives him an incredibly accurate reading of his surroundings.
Description: Once thought of as the "unholy offspring of lightning and death itself," Toothless (20 in dragon years) has proven to be much more of a giant, winged pussycat than the stuff of nightmares. Playful, inquisitive, and intelligent, Toothless is more Hiccup's best friend than his pet. He is extremely protective of his Viking soul mate, and will stop at nothing to guard him from all harm. As the last known specimen of the Night Fury species, Toothless is indisputably special. He commands respect from dragons and humans alike.
